My name is Jakki Goins and I am the owner and freelance designer of 'FoR THE LOVE OF FLORAL DESIGN'.

For awhile I owned and ran an event planning company, this is where I discovered my PASSION for floral design and found that brides and grooms were in need of personal attention. While studying floral design I worked in a retail shop with a wonderful group of people for a short time. After finishing the Retail Florist Certification program at a local college here in Maryland, I decided to become a freelance florist specializing in fresh flower design. I'm a freelance florist, meaning I don't have a traditional flower shop. I work from a small home studio because my primary job is being a mom. My kids will not be present for the initial consultations, but please don't be astonished to find one of them present during future meetings. While this may not appear to be the conventional way of during business for some, my designs speak for themselves and I am able to handle any event large or small.

I love to utilize the creative gift given to me and want dearly to bless others with it. Having been an event planner as well as a bride myself, I know how stressful all the preparation can be.

Creativity, flexibility and custom designs, personal service from start to finish, these are the many benefits of working with a freelance florist. Personalized service is my constant focus, this is why I limit the number of events I service in one weekend to only two. And they are strategically scheduled so that I will never have to large events in the same weekend. This is so the quality of my work will never suffering due to overload.
